As we settle into the new academic year, and our new cohort of trainee teachers settle into their journey towards QTS and the PGCE, you might be wondering if this could be the career for you.

We recognise that making the decision to move into teaching can sometimes be a daunting one.

To help you make the best and most informed choice possible, we want you to know that we are here to help - every step of the way. We hold recruitment events throughout the year and have a strong presence at local careers fairs. We also offer one-to-one online chats and we actively encourage people to come and meet us, to talk about eligibility, finances, SKEs and much much more.

Here are some of the ways you could able meet us this term:

*Essex careers fairs:

• Tuesday 14th October – Braintree Council Jobs Fair, 9.30am-12.30pm 
• Thursday 16th October – ARU Jobs & Placements Fair, 12pm-2pm 
• Tuesday 4th November – ARU Teacher Training Fair, 12pm-2pm 
• Thursday 6th November – University of Essex Careers Fair, 11am-4pm.  

*Note that not all of the above events will be open to the general public

Mid Essex ITT recruitment events:

• Friday 3^rd October 2025 – in-person event at Notley High School - 10.30am to 12noon
• Tuesday 7th October 2025 - online via Zoom
• Thursday 13th November 2025 - in-person event at Notley High School - 4.30pm to 6pm
