Every year, an MEITT trainee is chosen to receive the Danny Audritt Award.
Danny was a teacher who trained with Mid Essex ITT in 2016-2017. He went through heart surgery during his first term of training and sadly passed away in February 2018, the year after qualifying.
The MEITT team are now out of the office until August 31. But if you find you need us, we will still be checking emails, so feel free to drop us a line with any questions on email@example.com, and we will do our best to help.
Our thoughts have turned to preparing for the new academic year, and we are welcoming not just new trainee teachers, but also new mentors to the Mid Essex ITT team.
We were thrilled recently to discover that two of our trainees are related, and are actually Aunt and Niece! We asked Lynn Higgins-Watson and Amelia (Millie) Johns to give us the downlow on training to teach alongside a close member of your family.
If you have a busy life which you feel is holding you back from getting into teaching, our part-time course could be the one for you!
Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training (Mid Essex ITT) is an outstanding school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme. This means that you will undertake most of your training within a local Essex school environment. We will train you to teach at secondary school level and, after successfully completing the course, you will be awarded QTS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) accredited by the University of Greenwich. We offer both full--time and part-time options.
We have 25 years' experience of teacher training and more than 750 teachers have trained with us during that time. We are unique in that all our training is run by experienced, practising teachers. We are based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and have links with more than 20 secondary schools around Essex.
For our September 2021 intake, we have space for 60 trainee teachers. Would you like to be one of them?
