On Monday 8th July, Mid Essex ITT held its annual Awards Evening in the Braintree Arts Theatre and proudly recommended QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to 53 people! Here is a photo of some of those newly qualified teachers.
As well as being awarded QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), trainees on our course will also receive a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from the University of Greenwich. The PGCE includes 60 Masters (level 7) credits.
If you have wondered what it might be like to be a teacher, take a look at our "home made" video of some photographs taken by our trainees. It is an interesting but honest insight!
Mid Essex ITT are excited to be offering part-time teacher training courses from September 2019. Applications are open now on UCAS.
Mid Essex ITT is a partnership of schools, working together to train teachers for almost 25 years. There are 14 schools within its consortium and we are currently working with 6 other associate schools. Click here to view our list of schools.
Welcome to Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training. Mid Essex is an outstanding school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme. This means that you will undertake most of your training within a local Essex school environment. We will train you to teach at secondary school level and, after successfully completing the course, you will be awarded QTS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) accredited by the University of Greenwich. We also offer both full time and part time options.
We have 25 years of experience of teacher training and over 750 teachers have trained with us. We are unique in that all our training is run by experienced, practising teachers. We are based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and have links with over 20 secondary schools around Essex.
Mid Essex ITT was recognised as 'outstanding' in all categories by Ofsted in October 2017.
For our September 2019 intake, we have space for 60 trainee teachers. Would you like to be one of them?
