Farewell to the cohort of 2025-2026
This week was our final Core Training session of the year before our trainees receive Qualified Teacher Status.
It is always a day full of reflection and emotion as we celebrate the successes of our trainee teachers and prepare to say goodbye to them, and wish them well on their teaching journey.
Today was no exception. After a final whole-cohort phot opportunity, the trainees heard from one of our lovely ECTS, Biology trainee from last year Mr Harman, who gave the low-down on what to expect in their first ECT year.
They then heard from Course Tutor Holly Sutton before moving on to the presentation of our light hearted annual 'end-of-year' certificates. The Quality Assurance Committee gave some wonderful speeches and finally the cohort heard from Director Steve Fox, who gave a moving reflection of the year and some words of wisdom for the next stage of their journey.
As if this wasn't enough, it was all topped off with a fantastic picnic - each member of the cohort brought a contribution and enjoyed a chance to switch off, relax and enjoy a chat.
They will enjoy a trip to Colchester Zoo before finally completing their course - we will really miss them!
