Maths Lead Subject Mentor
After finishing college, Emma worked in London for two years in Private Banking. When she had reached as far as she could without a degree, she went to the University of Greenwich to study for a Maths Bsc.
Once completed, she had full intention of joining a graduate programme at JPMorgan, but instead she decided to defer it for a year to undertake a PGCE in Maths, and she never looked back - she fell in love with teaching!
Emma worked at her first school for ten years, and worked her way up from teacher, to Numeracy Coordinator to Lead Practitioner, before her role transitioned into Deputy Head of Maths.
She left that school to try something new and to challenge herself further. She says of teaching: "Although this career is one of the most challenging, it is also one that is most rewarding."
