As our trainees are now settled at their A Placement school once again, some have been reflecting on their time at B Placement. For some it can be a daunting experience - but it is also hugely rewarding and so important in building experience and confidence.
Here's what one trainee had to say:
My B placement was a really good experience. I think my key advice would be to go into it with an open mind as it really was a useful experience for me in building up my confidence and skills and getting to know others on the course too.
And here are the thoughts of another one of our trainees:
B Placement was both the biggest challenge and the most rewarding part of the whole course for me! It was tough leaving A placement but the experiences I had in my B Placement have had a huge impact on my confidence as a teacher. I was able to really refine my behaviour management skills as well as experiment with new ideas. It was during this placement that I began to truly believe in myself. Despite my initial worries, I can honestly say that B Placement has been the most important part of the course for me and has given me a real sense of resilience. Use the time wisely, take on as many opportunities as you can and lean into the challenge. It is amazing how much you can develop in 8 weeks!
