Marketing, Recruitment and Administration
After graduating in Psychology from University College London, Sophie went on to work in a number of student support roles. She was the Coordinator of London Nightline, a telephone helpline for students, for two years and went on to chair the National Nightline Association.
Following that role, she was appointed Project Manager for Studentsinmind, a newly forming charity offering advice and advocacy for students experiencing mental distress. During her maternity leave, Sophie completed consultancy work for University of London, coordinating meetings with key stakeholders and producing their annual report. As a consultant, she also wrote up research reports for the British Youth Council and has also been a trustee for a charity. Sophie started at Mid Essex ITT in September 2014 in a newly created role to help boost the number of trainee teachers in our consortium schools.
