Lead Subject Mentor for Mathematics
Stacey Dixon graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2008 and worked in banking for a year before deciding to embark upon a career in teaching in 2009.
Stacey had the opportunity to teach Maths in a highly performing department for a number of years before relocating to teach Maths at a British International school in Thailand.
After the birth of his first son, Stacey and his family took the decision to return home and is currently working as an Associate Vice Principal / Lead Practitioner, supporting The Maths Department in his school to secure better results for their students.
Stacey is an examiner for Pearson Edexcel and enjoys using the knowledge gained from this to help support the teaching and learning in The Department.
Over the last 6 years, Stacey has been a mentor for both MEITT and Essex ITT. He has enjoyed working with a variety of new teachers and helping them to discover how to communicate the joy of Maths to their students. Stacey now looks forward to working with cohorts of trainees as joint LSM with Graeme and sharing his experiences to help them make a strong start in their careers.
