Emma Currie

Lead Subject Mentor for Design & Technology

Emma Currie

Emma completed her degree in Fashion Studies from the London College of Fashion in 2003, and went on to work as an Assistant Buyer.

Due to her husband's work, she relocated to Sheffield, and in 2009 she began a one-year full-time SKE in Design & Technology (DT) at Sheffield Hallam University. Once completed, as her children were quite young, she completed a flexible PGCE in DT through the Open University.

She qualified in 2012, and completed her NQT year at Notley, where she has remained ever since!

She began her role with MEITT as LSM in 2018 and thoroughly enjoys working with the trainees as "DT is such a diverse subject and trainees have such a variety of backgrounds!".
