Martin Higgon

Programme Manager

Martin taught for three years in a Suffolk comprehensive school before moving to Notley High School as Head of History in January 2005.  In September 2005 he also became responsible for leading Citizenship.  In 2008 he became an Advanced Skills Teacher in history, with responsibilities which included leading teacher training, where he liaised with a number of ITT providers, foremost among them Mid Essex ITT.  

Kristy Mee

Course Tutor

Kristy began her English teaching career at a comprehensive school in Oxford before moving back to Essex in 2003. Whilst teaching at Great Baddow High School, she held a pastoral head role in charge of KS4 girls. Upon moving to Notley High School in 2006, she worked as part of the Lead English teacher scheme for Essex schools, providing outreach support across the county.

Keith Ferguson

Course Tutor

Keith Ferguson has been teaching at Notley High School since 1997.  He has done a number of different roles over this time.  In 2001 he became head of year and maintained this role until 2008.  He then became an advanced skills teacher in ICT and worked across Essex providing support for a variety of different schools.  

Sophie Allchin

Marketing, Recruitment and Administration

After graduating in Psychology from University College London, Sophie went on to work in a number of student support roles.  She was the Coordinator of London Nightline, a telephone helpline for students, for two years and went on to chair the National Nightline Association.  

Fiona Lane

Course Tutor

Fiona Lane is one of MEITT's Course Tutors. She is an English and Literacy Advanced Skills Teacher and Specialist Leader of Education in Initial Teacher Training.
